The Discovery Centre is a must visit as it's the accessible hub for the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Open daily all year round, that host wildlife walks, family events, nature courses. They also  have a glorious café and shop.

Rye Castle Ypres Tower is well worth a visit to indulge on the Rye's history in pre-roman, roman, norman & medieval times. Located in East Street, you can also admire the quaint houses in cobbled Mermaid Street & climb the tower in St Mary's Church.

Various guided walking tours are available in & around in Rye from the History Tours, Smuggling adventure tours, ghost tours. Rye Heritage Centre on the Strand can provide you with information on these walks that are highly recommended.
